As the topic says. ;) I know what you name dogs, cats, cars, et al... but not a clue what you a cactus. Mine is in dire need of a name. I was thinking of calling it Prickles, but not sure if it would be too silly or not. Thoughts? :D Thanks.

Prickley Pete. I'm sure I've heard it somewhere, but I don't remember where.

The name for the cactus should be: Asmodeous Alexander Phillip Sousa Randimius Caroline Nicholas George Andy Reagan "Prikkly" von de la Vonderbus-Smythewrightvinkle XXXVII Wouldn't that be great? You should name your first child that!

Maybe call him Asmodeous Alexander Phillip Sousa Randimius Caroline Nicholas George Andy Reagan "Prikkly" von de la Vonderbus-Smythewrightvinkle XXXVII to impress people and then have his close relationships call him Prickley Pete?

Brak and I think Hippo would be a much better name.

yes, all good... go with Asmodeous Alexander Phillip Sousa Randimius Caroline Nicholas George Andy Reagan "Prikkly" von de la Vonderbus-Smythewrightvinkle XXXVII for important people or rednecks seeing it, spanky for your friends, prickley pete for kids, hippo around nimrods, and so on. Have a list of the best names handy whenever other people see your cactus.

Maybe he'll have a different name depending on the day of the week?

For example can post a schdule for my catctus and his names on the door outside my dorm room, so people can know ahead of time what to call him. For example:
Sun- Prickly Pete
Mon- Asmodeous Alexander Phillip Sousa Randimius Caroline Nicholas George Andy Reagan "Prikkly" von de la Vonderbus-Smythewrightvinkle XXXVII
Tuesday- Brak
Wednesday- Hippo
Thursday- Spanky

Hrm...still need a few more names to finish up the week. Maybe my catcus will end up suffering from MPS with so many names... should I try to get him a psychitrist now too?

What about Snuggles? ...Something the opposite of what a cactus really is, which is prickly and hurting. :)

call him something funny... one of my budgies is called kitty, it confuses the hell out of people when I tell people stories about my bird.

My cousin has a duck named "quack quack" :)

if it were my cactus i'd called it cacti (cactuses) ... that would be fun.

or Alfred... i don't know :)

OOooo. I like the name Snuggles! I think I Might go with that...or I could call the cactus askem.... to confuse people like Kortez says, "What's your catcus's name?" "Askem." "ermm...what's your name, little catcus?' ;p HeH. Could call him cactor, but he isn't as that powerful. People acually like to stroke my cactus... it is rather disturbing. x.x I could also call him Cactus like.. how in Breakfast at Tiffany's there was the cat named Cat. :) Ugh..picking a name is so hard. No wonder why all kids end up with the similiar names duing a generation. ;p

Hence, my need for a name so badly, else it will never stop dancing around on top of my scanner. :/

I think I'll go with the name Snuggles for his intimate friends and one alternating days of the week go with the other names. Man, this catcus is going tto have such an ego. -.- Thanks for the help! =D

oooh.. is it magic cactus?

jelanen
December 6th, 2003, 07:22 PM
Magic? You mean it isn't normal for a cactus to move?

Mr. Teatime
December 6th, 2003, 08:18 PM
Of course its normal! Maybe. Um. Actually not too sure on that. All the cactuses I see are stuck in the ground.
Does it do tricks?

jelanen
December 6th, 2003, 08:27 PM
I asked him and Snuggles says he doesn't do any tricks.

Mr. Teatime
December 6th, 2003, 09:52 PM
thats too bad. Would't that be awesome though? A cactus doing flips and rolling over? And maybe you could call the little scanner-dance a trick...
