Hi anyone reading this, i was just seeking some tips or advice on a situation ive put myself in.

You see I've made it my personal goal to spend this year improving my illustration skills in all aspects including pencil drawing, digital painting, everything!

I have bought about 4 or 5 anatomy books, Big ones to give me the best possible information at my disposal any time i need it.

Heres the problem I have i got everything ready, sketchbooks equipment but have been putting off getting officially starting because of the simple fact,

......I dont know where to begin,
i dont know exactly where to start with improving my skills.

Like such as a day to day routines, exercises, which area to begin in and where to go from there?

Any got any ideas or advice on where i should start or some really good exercises that are necessary?

thanks

I would just draw from life constantly, every spare chance I get I would draw. Do just as much stuff from imagination, and work through the books from front to back one by one.

Welcome to CA

Its good to see other people just starting with drawing as well. I think it can be a great asset to watch others that are trying to get of the ground as beginners.

Anyway, i basically started (still am) with "The structure of Man". Next to that, i get alot of inspiration/information from the people here. The vibes here are amazing!

But yeah, it can be hard to see the trees in the forest sometime. Best advice i can give is, take it slow and self-reflect and orientate alot. Good luck!
