Hi,
My name is Stuart Gallop. I am a independent producer and feature script writer based in Bristol.
I have recently formed my own production company, Twinstar Movies Ltd. The focus of Twinstar is to develop original scripts and obtain co-production deals with larger studios to move the projects into production. With over a dozen story ideas (most of which are high concept blockbusters) and one of which is the focus for this ad, the company has a long line of exciting projects to get involved in and use your talents.
As the company is very new and currently with little or no funding, I am unable to offer paid positions right now. Anyone who agrees to work with Twinstar on projects will be on a deferred basis and will also be able to sign an agreement stating that you would have a first refusal opportunity for a position on any project moved into production. I have already secured a fantastic conceptual artist on this basis on the strength of the script that I am working on now, unfortunately due to a family bereavement he can no longer commit to the project. The benefit of working on a deferred basis is this would also allow you to work on other pieces of work as I would not ask people to give up chances to work on a paid project!
The positions I am looking for are...
Concept/CG Artist - I am looking for an exciting and young CG artist looking to gain experience for maybe a Uni portfolio or just looking to get into the film industry. This role is a great chance to showcase your work as it will be included in all media packs being sent to major production companies.
Storyboard Artist - I am looking for an exciting and young storyboard artist looking to gain experience for maybe a Uni portfolio or just looking to get into the film industry. This role is a great chance to showcase your work as it will be included in all media packs being sent to major production companies. This will involve working closely with me to visualize the script.
Set Designer - I am looking for a set designer to help me visualize the sets I wish to use for the filming of the project. My aim is to create a largely indoor set that can utilize CG and practical effects to expand the areas around it. Films such as Batman Begins and The Matrix are the inspiration for this type of filming and would also reduce costs due to not being bogged down in the challenges of a full outdoor shoot.
This is the beginning of an exciting journey and I am hoping to form some long term collaborations to make Twinstar one of the best movie production companies in the UK!
