Alrighty! I will try and do this before work tomorrow in el photoshopo.

And to answer your question, right now my skills in digital painting are very basic, little to no skill in any type of lineless art. My goal here is to learn a more efficient style with better results. I'm defiantly more into illustration, but right now I feel like I need to learn "the conceptart style" just as a basic.

Thanks very much for taking me on!

o.k. nice, looks like you could have gone in with some stronger light tones on the strawberries, good work:).

here is a tutorial for the same bowl of strawberries
start out with a dark tone of grey for an undertone
571245
now on a new layer make sillhouette of the bowl with black
571246
now on a new layer go in with a middle grey and mark
out those middle grey values
571247
now on a new layer go in with a light grey
571248
lastly on a new layer go in with your lightest value
571249

when you are done flatten all the layers.

btw do you have corel painter I think you might like it, if you have technical
questions feel free to p.m.

when your done with the tutorial post it and i will give you another asignment:)

Hi Burgessboy,
pretty good, p.s. or painter?
well it looks like you need to start painting with a bigger brush

Hey,

I used photoshop elements 4, but I have painter as well. I actually used 100% opacity, so I guess I should change that, haha. Thanks, and I'll give it another go :)
