Ok, a week and a half ago I've drawn this:

A few practices and days later I've drawn this:

I've did some reading on this site and kind of agreed to some points about anime, so I wanted to draw more realistic, and I've drawn a quick pencil sketch:

It's kind of small so I guess I should make larger drawings. I think that I have improved, but i'm not entirely objective I guess.. So what am I doing right and what's going the wrong way?

don't worry, you're improving -- although you might not even actually see it..

what a lot of people do, and i agree, it seems a great method for learning, is drawing a self-portret as much as possible, some try even every day. i think it's a great idea to improve and try out things like shading to make it more realistic. i'd say go for that approach...
