Cool! I need to get my hands on this one.
The coverfigure looks a little Marko-ish I think.

That's a tad unfair to say, in my opinion. You see that alot of the forums here, anyone who renders an image out in pencil is automatically branded as a clone of a few certain CA artists..

In any case, this seems like an exciting book.

Relax, I'm not acusing him of anthing. The figure just has a similair flair and attitude to that of a Marko sketch I think
Nic is FAR from a Marko clone.

Hey, thanks guys!! Im stoked for this project, I hope it shows in the book once it hits!

I actually did this Promo piece while sitting in Markos studio, so maybe some of his magic rubbed of on me ;)

whoa, can't wait to pick this up sometime when it prints. It reminds me of vagabond when I first saw the cover illustration. Vagabond is a comic about a wanderer swordsman who is basically really really good at fighting with a sword and mostly just uses a wooden sword, while others go at him with everything they got. Its based off an old legend of Japanese hero who was known to be a vagabond.

can't wait for this!

Discovered this yesterday on Tom Muller's Blog (who apparently did the title design (http://www.hellomuller.com/blog/2009/01/22/anatomy-of-a-logo-viking/), good choice there too) and instantly fell in love with the artwork. Nice one. Let's see how the bowels of this book look.

So you're doing all the interiors as well, Nic? If that's the case I really, really wanna get my hands on this! The comic shop today said it should be out in April.

teohyc: yeahh ive seen that too, though i wasnt too keen when i flipped thru. interiors are okay, but it looks like they get an artist change now and then. i like my comics to have one distinct artist taking on the whole story arc, otherwise it throws me a little. guess im just precious that way :P

I'll definitely be putting this on my 'to buy' list down at my local comics emporium. Looks great Nic. I also love Massimo Carnivale's covers on Northlanders.

That's to bad that you didn't give it a try. The artist stays the same and is very impressive. They have a different cover artist I think. The style of the covers is different than the interior.
The book is 8 issues long I think? And is 9.99.
Awesome Price
Awesome Art
Awesome Story. Brian Wood is one of the best writers out there.

Everyone should check it out.

So I went to get this and was told it was delayed. Any word on when we might be able to get our grubby little hands on it?
