So, um... hi? This is my first post and I really need help improving, I'm 17, I've taken 1 art class since 7th grade and my teacher doesn't critique really, and I haven't really learned anything in class other than retarder is good for acrylics and conte is better for my brown paper sketchbook... Um... so this is some stuff I've done since february of 2008, starting then and moving up in the timeline :) I would really appreciate any crits or advice or anything at all, cause I have a year to put together a good portfolio for colleges and I would really like to have improved a great deal
also; I'm not sure if I have this attachment thing down right >_>

I keep messing the attachment thing up, so I'm just going to count my blessings at two;
the hand was a grid drawing we did that I added upon and the pastel vase thing was this awful project, also, this is what my art teacher classifies as A work =/
edit: I lied, the vase drawing didn't upload >_> it's this realistic drawing I was trying to do in charcoal that just failed.

sooo attempt number two to get all of these uploaded :)
Captain Spaulding, I spent a long time on that, like... 5 hours :D and um, I drew that at the beginning of the summer
The building, Umm, I was breaking in my new sketchbook and I thought it looked lovely on the front page
the peace sign was a test of drawing hands, because I find that I'm really bad at them and um, I just added doodles to the background
the hands holding a butterfly was an image I found in a booklet I got from veer and just drew during a geography class :)
