hey, this is my first post here, as well as my firt digital painting, done in photoshop, sketch-line art 5 hours, colors 13 hours... or something along those lines... critiques and coments please!

-first off, the neck is too thin (I know) and the shading on her neck is iffy.. well its my first shot, so next time... thanks in advance

Hello and welcome!

I like your lineart and the painting looks better han my first attempt at digital painting.

As far as C&C goes, I would say that you probably used the dodge/bun tool to color the face(if not, the following goes anyway :D). The downside to using those tools are that the human face (and skin) consists of many colours but yours is monochromatic. By adding other colours like red and orange to the cheeks and nose and maybe some blue for the shadows, your imge will be less monochromatic.Chek out this (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3148) thread by Prometheus. It contains a lot of good stuff. Hope any of this helps.
