WIP splash page

making a splash page for my new up coming site. its gonna be like a tree covered in fungi this is how far ive gotten in the last hour.

comments and suggestions please.

i adjusted the angle i think it looks better this way. now it looks more like a floating up rooted tree which i was going for anyway.

I dig the textures you're getting there and I agree that the vertical orientation works much better.

yeah, agreed - this is coming along very nice - really good values and depth so far! some light blue highlights could look good with that cool dark red glow in the background.
