Greetings,
so I'm quite curious, if you can export your model into 3ds (should be in Pro version) then open it in Photoshop and paint textures over it..?

Has anybody tried it yet? I would download trial but I'm still waiting for Adobe to send me my CS4 upgrade.

Wouldn't it be easier to make textures and then import them to SketchUp onto your model, or export the 2D model and use it as a background skeleton in Photoshop?

I don't have a full answer, but I've tried exporting a few models to try painting over and haven't had good success yet. Granted, I don't know the new features in CS4 very well, but the larger problem is how SU maps the textures. From what I've seen make sure you paint a texture on, the default non-texture is really problematic, but I've still not had full success. For my uses I'd want to be able to bring the texture back into SketchUp correctly mapped, but I've no idea how to do that. Still learning....

I got my CS4 yet but only thing I was able to do was to rotate model and paint 2d layer over it... I'll try to find some tutorial.
