Hi guys! Just two concept designs I did for a personal artbook project I'm working on ... it's vampire-oriented, so the two below are, of course, vampires. I'll be working on more full figure designs of other characters for the project. :D Done in Photoshop from start to finish. C&C welcome!

Sorry if the images are too big. :p

Very nice, but I do have some (minor) crits.
The nearest arm on the first figure doesn't read well..it took me a second to figure out exactly what position he was in. Also, the lighting appears to be a kind of harsh light coming from the left of the picture, but the light on his jacket seems very soft. Very different than the lighting in the rest of the picture. It also might be worth it to distinguish the non-cast shadows with softer edges.
The second one's lighting is inconsistent in a few places. The general feeling I get is that the light is coming from above and maybe slightly behind the figure. But the splotch of light on his thigh is arguing with the lighting on his braid out in front...they both seem to be lit from seemingly opposite directions.
Also, on the second figure, I'm drawn to his shoes due to their brightness. The effect is cool, but unless you want people to keep coming back and staring at the shoes, you might want to tone it down a bit. ;)
Having said all that, I really like both of these pictures. They're very stylish, and generally well rendered. I really like the designs/patterns you've added to the outfits and the pose of the second one is very cool. I also really like the highlights on the blades of the second figure...it gives them a sort of otherwordly quality and dispite drawing focus, I think it works.
Ahhhh....you know I just noticed that his heels are also blades, which explains the highlights...hmmm... Now I'm not sure what to think of that. As it is, there are still 3 competing areas: his face, his swords, and his shoes...you might want to rebalance those three areas to provide some sort of priority to which order you want the viewer to focus.
Anyways, nice work, keep it coming. :)

fukifino: Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them. :) I think they're very helpful. I'll work on the lighting and all ... and yeah, you guessed right. :D The heels are blades!
Lohan: I certainly won't deny it, because Falcoon has always, and still is a great inspiration to me. In fact, it was his work that helped me to better understand digital illustration and colouring ... and so, I'm working on improving myself to his level of quality, but with my own work. Katsuya Terada is another very strong influence, although it's probably hard to tell here because the colouring's more solid and inspired by Falcoon's work.

Aren't these by falcoon? Or are you falcoon?

 Uhm, no, I drew and coloured them, but I'm definitely not Falcoon. This drawing style of mine just happens to be extremely influenced by him.
