Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has bought any of the dvd's from www.thegnomonworkshop.com. I was just wondering if it's worth the crazy price tag on them. I mean, some of them are probably worth 60 USD, (i.e. intro to maya is a 5-hour long dvd that covers all the basics), but others are only around an hour long and don't give THAT much detail.

Anyways, tell me what your thoughts are on GW videos. Which ones are worth the money, and which ones aren't?

I had the advantage of the exchange rate € to $ so the price was reasonable.

The DVD's are OK and they show some good tips but you can learn as well from workshops,books, magazines or threads you find on forums. It will require some searching but it'll get you there as well and is cheaper.
