My keyboard was falling off of my desk, and in my attempt to stop this from happening I accidentally pressed some keyboard hotkey. this resulted in my picture becoming full of different sized boxes.

I cant post a picture because out of photoshop, the lines aren't there. On a blank canvas it looks like the canvas is divided into many different boxes which form larger boxes. The lines of the boxes resemble vector lines.

Sounds like you've either turned on the grid, guidelines or somehow cut your pic up into lots of slices.

Printscreen it then paste it back into an empty canvas in PS.

AH, I'm quite sure its the grid, as I've checked the slices issue, how do you turn the grid or grid lines off? (thanks for the help by the way)
