Hey all
Here's my first thread on these boards, posting some personal works, some older, some new... Kinda hesitated with it - there are amazing artists here and I look up to them very much.
Anyway - here they are. Critics appreciated.
EDIT - Some recent sketches. I'll try to add them here reagulary as I paint, just need to push myself to do it regulary :)

Nice, I especially like the first. Nice idea! Not sure the wording is great though... It's probably just me! Hah! Maybe if it was:
"Sorry if I'm wrong Master Frodo, but I don't think thats Mordor!" (anymore)
"I don't know about you Master Frodo, But I don't think thats Mordor!" (anymore)
Or, simply add "Don't" after "I"
Just an Idea, as for the art. Really digging it!

Just conner - Thanks for the wording tip, put it to use. Yeah, english is NOT my native tongue :) Glad you like it overall

Lots of good stuff here. Particularly like the homeless girl, the overgrown cafe, and the scouting orc.

Are you referencing the Wizard of Oz? If so, the original quote is, "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."

NathanLong - thanks, mate. I appreciate it :)
Elwell - no, the line was made up, but it would be a nice touch to mix them both up. Thanks for the tip :) Good idea :)

Some really nice stuff Michal!!
My favorites, the post apocalypse pic with the explorer rummaging through the shopping mall. Very cute that the DINER sign are missing the letters so that it reads DIE……ha..ha.
I like the picture in the prison cell also. Me thinks the lonely little dude with the blood on his shirt may not be someone the others should mess with……vampire?
Nice work, Bruce

the "jail house", some real clever thought

Some really nice and creative pieces. The overgrown interior is both intricate and interesting, but the piece with the fire is unbelievable. I can only imagine how long that accurate fireball was created. Very good fire effects there.

Bruce Pluto - hey, thanks, mate. The apocalypse piece was created using a photo reference, I've had a LOT of fun while making it :)
As for the prison cell piece - the concept behind the skinny dude in glasses character was based on the very agile killer from Sin City, the cannibal - remember? :) Not a vampire, tho :batgirl: But I'm glad that it shows that other, bigger dudes are affraight to sit next to him that he's most dangerous of them all. :)
psychoboy - thanks, bro :)
Duman - the fire piece - the original idea was to make an eagle or a tiger head from fire, but... I couldn't visualize how should it loks like, so I went with "ordinary" fireball - using a lot of fire photos composited into this one plus some hand painting. I'm pretty satisfied with it.:steph: :steph: :mittenbop:

You are so great, I am having a bit of demotivation now, and looking at your work gives me all the motivation I need. You are simply great. I really love that prison piece and the stranded in paradise one. Kind of reminds me of my childhood.
Anyway this is exactly what I want to do with art. Hope I can be as good as you sometime

The half faced portrait looks (to me) like Sean Pertwee. You probably won't think so but after seeing him in many things just reminds me of him strangely...
EDIT: And the first post should be Mister Frodo. It was eating me up inside.

I really enjoy these. I feel like these are concepts that I haven't quite seen anywhere else, which is refreshing. I especially love the environment inside the big glass dome with all the skeletons. Wonderful mood and atmosphere there. I really don't have anything to say as far as crits go. Awesome stuff.

Dahami - thanks, I wanted to give a feel of a first Predator movie, glad it shows :)
Aaron Death - wow, thanks, so nice to hear. I'm not as good as I wanna be, mate. There's soo much better people on these boards ;) And you will be better than me easiluy, just need to work, work and 100 times work :)
Justconner - ummm... I used a reference I found on the web. The photo was so perfect, that it was VERY hard not to rip it off, just make my own version of it. Master Frodo piece is further in the line, since the most recent works should be higher in the page I think. :) But thanks for input on that :)

I like the way you handle the color but would suggest to work a bit more on the drawing.

Murr - thanks, mate. I made some of them for the monthly contests and posted them in the CGSociety, but I think I have to publish them widely... I think it's time for me to make a page in deviantart as well...

Majora - thanks :)
Timothy Duong - thanks, mate :) on a side note - had to look "dope" up in a dictionary :P
cubesoflard - yeah, I had a real fun doing this piece It was time consuming, but I learned tons while making it. Glad you like it
