ahha! this is what i mean...

nice feel to this piece...

im getting into the shading thing myself...

i see you basically just shade to the edge to get seperation of planes ect...

and lighted edges get nothing..

Sometimes what you said works. You really just need to look at objects in the real world. Looking at things that are related to your shape, and things that are totally different are what I use the most.

Of course, for this leatest one, I just looked at the skull, and that's where I got my values.
