I've admired your work in the EOW challenges, but the loose landscapes in here are nothing short of mindblowing. Pure inspiration. Keep posting!

Beautiful, they're all so lively.

I think that first image has to be my favorite though, you started your portflio with a really strong piece. I love the emotion on that hunter's face, it add something more to the peice, to top off the brilliant execution.

Thanks SkitFox!.....appreciate it. I actually modeled for the hunter behind my house. It was in the middle of summer with a heavy wool coat. I nearly passed out from heat stroke....haha.

Wow, so why did you decide to paint the same location over the course of (I would assume) the past year?

You are serious about your landscapes aren't you? But honestly, this is some amazing work. There is so much energy in each piece and such a variety of styles. I really enjoy your brushwork. And so many pieces! You're making me feel lazy.

Gamerhomie - The project was a way for me to work on understanding lighting/ color/mood that you can get from different times of the day. Also it was about committing myself to painting everyday, even if there were times when I did not want to.

Irrlaeufe - Thanks, appreciate it!

adri_n - Yeah, my wife calls it an obsession. Glad you enjoy the series. This project was a lot of fun, in that it allowed me to play around with different mediums, papers, techniques. This project really allowed to overcome some of my own laziness as well....or maybe fear of painting might be a better way of putting it.

Man I was instantly reminded about Cézanne and his Mount St-Victoire when I saw these paintings... The variety in your work is amazing.
I am really digging these so thanks for sharing!
