Actually this copy here looks a bit washed out but I'll post one more when it's complete and get it right.

this is really great how long did it take?
also, where did you get the skeleton, and how much did it cost you if you dont mind me asking...methinks i need to get at least a skull =)

I had to borrow this one. She's the real thing though.
But I know they are available as very good replicas between $1500.00 and $2000.00.
A real one is a bit more I think. Not sure, it's been a long time since I looked.

Great stuff, a most kickass skull if there ever was one. Maybe just a few nice sharp highlights on the sternum and front plane of the ribs could bring out some more dimension the rib cage as a whole?

Oh how lovely!
Just out of curiosity, did you lay down the base color and wipe away the areas of bone to reveal the white canvas underneath? This doesn't look like a very think painting, that's why I asked.
I love the spray of light above the head.. as if you're hinting at the mind that was once encased in the skull.

I'm a little slow getting back sorry. Ummm. . this is only the under painting so yeah it's on the thin side. I have another shot to post that's a little farther along. I didn't do any planning for this. Just started right into it like automatic writing and letting it take me where it will.
