Been a while since I did anything in Painter, so here's a quick anatomy study:

out of curiosity, where are you studying the anatomy from? check out some reference on the arm and the abdominal region. i think it could use some work. i like the chest and shoulder, even though it's not totally anatomically correct. it's the best part of this piece. this is a good start. keep pushing on it and use that reference. i'll check back when it's a little more finished

Your deltoid has too many sections along with conecting to the humerous wrong. The deltoid has three major sections, two infront (by clavicle) and one in back (by scapula). There are details you can add later but you can't really touch that if you're studying. The deltoid connects on the outside of the humerous splitting the bicept and outer head of the tricep. You have it connecting in the bicept and on the inside of the bicept. Also your missing the coracoidbrachialis (it connects near the root of the bicep and goes back towards the peck, basically.) Watch your elbow... you have it coming on the inside of the medial head of the tricep when it goes inbetween the inner, outer, and medial. Really really study the forearm more. There are like 5 flexors and 5 extensors (not really but enough) and a crap ton of other muscles. Also you have the palm going back into the forearm... you need a wrist. That's one of the more complex areas of the human body. Your clavicle is flat as well. Check out a skeletal reference and you'll notice that the first 2/3 coming from the sternum is pretty flat and the last 1/3 comes out. That's really important for giving the torso volume. You're also squeezing the area inbetween the rectus abdominus (6 pack or whatever) and your peck. Your serratus (ribcage) is almost there. Looks like you almost have that but not quite. Also, you need to look up on how the serratus relates to the oblique (love handle.) It looks absent.
You have a good start but really READ those books, don't just look, they really help a lot.
Hope this helps and good luck.
