yo how's it going? my name is gavin, i'm 19 years old and i'm from perth australia. so i finally searched around in my room and found the courage to make thread here. i'm a huge fan of many of the artists here and hopefully, like them, i can make the transition from noob to pro. :D now heres some sketches:

ok that first post was kinda shitty so i worked a bit harder with this update. though i'm still not doing enough work.... so i today did some 30 second poses for a warm up, then some torso studies for hogarth and a really quick digital colour study from a photo ref...

I really likes these. :) I totally have this book.

I think you're doing a pretty good job. :) They look like your own drawings and not the drawings right in the book. And that's a good thing. Love it. Kepe it up. :D

Wow! really like the anatomy in your sketches. I've been trying it this well for a while now.

Keep it up, i wana see more :]!

Oh and btw, if you are using a certain book.. you mind telling me what it is? Would be a big help!

MrSmithe: thanks heaps :D i was using Burne Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy

Ok heres what i did today: some 30 sec poses for a warmup, then some torso done from imagination, then some gestures from refs and finally a colour study from ref (still struggling with thoses :/ )

sweet color study.

Now you have to do a color study of a bowl of fruit, being eaten by God, only using the color peach in 30 seconds. Hop to it! XD joking
