I'm new to this board, so i hope i do this right!
This is a drawing I did of my guitar teacher's wife. Not really anything to say....I used 4H, 2B, and 6B graphite pencils (my favorite!). No projector, I prefer to make my own little measuring stick for proportions out of a torn piece of paper from my sketchbook . It was done from a photo, just let me know and I'll try and put it up if you want to see it. Ok, I'm done talking so go ahead and crit!

Very nice. Although I find the hands a bit more masculine than what I would expect.

I really like this piece.. Polykarbon is mainly anime.. I think you're wasting talent over there, just imo.

hey everyone and thanks for the replies
Yeah, I used to really be into the typical anime/manga stuff that you usually see around poly, which is fine if that's what your into. But I definitely think the overall work on this site is more advanced than the stuff on poly, although don't get me wrong, there are definitely some very very talented artists there. It's just when I look through the threads on Concept Art there is just page after page of amazing stuff. I was looking at some of those Thunderdome entries too and am quite impressed. But anyways, so you don't get the wrong impression about poly, I think it's a great place to start out until you kinda develop a more unique (maybe? lost for the right word there...maybe a more mature) style . I'm starting to do some more "animeish" (you guys mind if I make words up?) work that I think Ill put over there as well as here.
Wow, that was really long :dead:
thanks again guys
