Little more work on it. Not sure if I am going to finish it. I am not used to working totoally in photoshop. I usually sketch my stuff first in pencil. I'm trying to learn to do it fully in ps but i am getting rather disheartened.

I'm having trouble reading what it is you're making. Only think I see what is is the skull. So until it's readable, it's pretty hard to give crits.

You need to learn how to use layers; they are there to help. As for the warhammer picture you need more colour. I know how the marines look. I'm not sure if it is the human or chaos marines. Also you need shading (for both pieces) your colouring work looks like it is done with a mouse but your lines look like a drawing tablet.
If you are working with a mouse I would reccomend getting a pressure sensitive drawing tablet. Alot of people here use Wacom. If you don't have the money for one you can use the fade option Brushes > Other Dynamics > Opacity jitter > Fade
or
Make a selection and fill it with the gradient tool.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. I do have a tablet. I am really struggeling with the whole no lines thing. I am trying to do something that will eventually have no lines. I can do stuff with lines like the picture which is Fan art of Hinata from Naruto.

That was not what i meant. You can still have lines in your pictures... I don't know how to explain this. If you give a picture outlines it "renders" as flat. What i meant was your lines are to "busy" to be mouse strokes. Do you have any drawings on paper? Most people would advise you to start drawing on paper first and go from there. I have fallen behind with Naruto.

The butterfly wasnt actually done in oils, but they didnt have acrylic and oils in the next closest thing. :) It's still a paint medium, just more expensive. lol
