For those of you with high-speed connections. I was wondering if you could dl this movie and crit the quality of the poses. It's the 2nd stage of my animation. I haven't played with any timing yet. It's all about the motion.
btw, it's an 8mb'er. Sorry, the moment I figure out how to save them in a smaller format then I will do so.

I'll try it with the other codecs on the lintester. Might help with the size and compatiabilty.

What did you animate in? Is it 2d or 3d? If you want good compression in a format that Macs and PCs can view, go with Sorenson. It can be viewed in QuickTime, and you can compress it with either Premiere or Maya or Max, depending on what you are using to animate with.
And your avatar makes me cringe.

I'm using a program called, "Linetest". I can only assume that it's an older program given the rest of the hardware.
I tried it with a new codec (it was called Codec). And the file size is much smaller now. Hopefully it'll play without you needing to dl new codecs.
BadMange: it's a 2d animation. The only thing is I do this @ school so I can't install any new codecs with having to re-install every single time. Also, these comps don't have Maya or Premiere.
I'm amused that no one commented on it before the whole trial thing came on the news. Oh well, I'm easily amused by GIF animations. Batman Stage 3 (http://www.basementlife.ca/edu/iMackBATMAN02.mov)

You don't like the style ?
I haven't seen much of the series, but I kinda like the style of animation. Large and fast sweeping actions with really slowly settles.

I'm getting really angry about my class. I Never get feedback from my teacher. On average, I'd say he sees only about half the class each class.
anyway...here's what I did today. Batman - Stage 3b (http://www.basementlife.ca/edu/iMackBATMAN03.mov)
-Added the Bola to part of the animation.
-I'm going to make the cape settle @ the top of his anticipation for the throw and make it billow out more to the front after the throw.

hey, i like it a lot... the settle annoyed me at first. how he threw the bolo and then slowly crouched more. then i read that that was what you were going for. i think it's a good start. nice secondary motion on the cape and the bolo.
i'd like to see more of your animations. where are you in school?

Empty: I'm @ Algonquin college for animation. It's in Ottawa, Canada.
I did alot more work on the cape today. Hopefully the settle @ the end looks a little better (I'm trying to minimize how much I change as it is due tomorrow). Here's todays. Batman - Stage 4 (http://www.basementlife.ca/edu/iMackBATMAN04.mov)
-Going to fix up the motion of the arm after he throws
-plant the feet more solidly on the ground throughout the whole animation.
