Um..no offense fungi, but I'd hardly say that his image is a copy of yours. The idea isn't all that original to begin with.

never said he copied it, it just resembles it

LOL, tsk tsk tsk... Hey, Michieru, where you hoping that Fungi would not see yer post? Actually, I'm not totally sure this one is a copy... Buff dude playin' the geetar. I dunno, maybe a subconscious homage?

Hehe, ok, sorry to be confrontational. Just the way you said that it seemed like you were implying it.

Maybe they should both get together and start a band. ;)

Like this is an original concept to begin with. Jesus guys, squabble over something worth squabbling over. 2 pen drawings posted on a forum depicting a very common concept of an evil buff dude on guitar, something that has been drawn into the ground since THE SEVENTIES, does not make a lynch mob "credit the original artist you asshole" controversy.

hey you, i didnt call him an asshole. infact there has been NO squabbling in here what so ever. much love in here infact.

Terribly sorry, I wasoverstating my case, dramatic effect and all that no accusation intended. :D Let the love fest continue...

Why whatever do you mean? ;)

Anyways, on to the critique of the original poster.

The line weight on this is really heavy, but I think it actually works here. It gives him a big, meaty feeling. The hand holding the pick looks a little bit hurt by the heavy inking though. It looks a little small/squished for some reason. Beyond that I dig it.

I think it actually works out well. He's a big, strong, hulk of a man, probably playing heavy metal. I think that deserves heavy lines.

I think the similarity draws from the Jungian "Buff rock God" archetype.
