Hey all,
I'm posting this mainly in response to reading the posts about the AI schools. I'm hoping that people here will be able to ask questions/give advice about sincerely good art schools in their area. For example, I am thinking about applying to MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone there, or has ever even applied there, and what the school expects from your portfolio. I currently am attending a community college, because of the costs, but my three of my instructors have told me that they believe I am good enough to apply for a scholarship from MICA...and all three have either attended MICA or else taught there (one of my instructors teaches a non-credit course there).
Anyway, NONE of my current instructors can tell me what to expect, as far as the interview process. Has anyone out there ever applied to MICA? I'm almost afraid to! (I HATE rejection, lmao).
And anyone else out there, with inside info on their schools, PLEASE post! It will help all of us. Thanks!
