Hi all:)
I`m starting with my sketchbook here, but I won`t update daily - it`s impossible. Anyway sketching and concept drawing is (still) fun for me. So, I`ll do my best to post some art here, as long as I`m having fun drawing:D
Thanks for looking!

--->> Any suggestions and critique will be always welcome. <<---

Today I`ve already had time for quick sketching exercise. I was trying to make it quickly, comic style and using tablet, not as always pencil then scan.
I have to work on it becouse I draw to slow.

2-3 min for each head.

Here are some of my older practices. This stuff are master copies, and drawings from references. I like them, they show my progres in this autumn.

Good opinions I`ve already heard, so now please, criticize - let me learn and improve!

i like some of the gestural qualities you have in your nude model drawings. it'd be nice to see that carried into your quick sketches of your portraits.

Thanks, I`ll work on it.

For now I want to post results of my last fight with painting. It`s about 2,5h WIP, and maybe I`ll find courage to work on it again, becouse this piece is too difficult for me to paint correctly. Stormy sea is hardcore to paint :frustrated:
Do you like composition, any ideas to paint water? Maby someone know how to do that..?

Those anatomy sketches... 80

I really don't know how to help composition or painting waves, but the horizon seems to stop suddenly; unless that was the intended effect. Maybe you could try a different angle or have the ship facing inward, I'm really not sure. |D;

Hey, I really like your work, your pencils look fantastic!

So do your digitals, but in your digital work you could benefit from using darker darks and lighter lights, as they give form to you work. As an example look at this face http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/8430/centurionstage7.jpg it looks rather flat because of the little variation in value.

Good luck further on, nice sketchbook!

Big fan of 4, 151, 16, and 21. I dig your speed paints - I've always been a huge fan of those and as yet haven't really been able to duplicate it on my end. I peck at my stuff too much. Value and Color looked pretty awesome on those.

Also, sick environments.

Keep it up - lots of improvement on one page!

edit: Main crit I would throw out there is on the figures - anatomy and whatnot. One that jumps out at me is post 28 (above): in the first two images, his right forearm is set up pretty much right for holding the weapon close to his torso or off to the side. The last image is kinda wonky around the wrist - your shoulders set in a different position any time you're at the low ready with a carbine or smg or any shoulder fired weapon. In this case, his right shoulder looks a bit out there for the position he's in and the way he's holding the weapon. Good shit though.
