How to paint garlic bulbs ? (oil)

hi,
I ve a difficult time to paint some garlic bulbs.
If you ve any advice...

What i did
1 layer ( yellow naple)
2 layer
white titanium
and Prussian blue + raw sienna ( blueish black)
white titanium + blueish black for the shadow

Advised, its best if we can see
The type of painting that you do
And if its good or if its poo.
Apologies for this poor doggeral
But lists of colours won't do at all.
We do actually need a pic,
To see if it looks much like garlic.
