Good thing you made this part open for sculptors too. :)

However,
i suck at photography. I took these with a friends digital camera, but as you can see they are way too blurry. If you have any tips on how to get good detailed pictures of stuff this small let me know, they are 28 mm from base to top.

I have tried having the camera at different distances from the miniatures, and there doesnt seem to be a focus changer thing on the camera im using.. any tips?

Hey, a couple things that might help.

1) On a lot of cameras, you can push the shutter button down half way to lock the focus and exposure, then frame your photo and push the button the rest of the way. If your camera can do that... I would set up a book or something next to the miniature, lock the settings on that, then shoot your picture. Your camera is probably having trouble because it's getting confused between the figure and the background. If it has a big flat surface to focus on, it should work better.

2) Brighter lighting would probably help too. My camera has a much easier time focusing if there's ample lighting. Yours might be the same. Also, to get your exposure correct, try to have the same amount of light falling on the background as you do on the figure.

Also, some cams have a makro Mode. With Makro mode you can basically make pics from very short distances.

Getting pictures of Miniatures Without Makro Mode is a pain in the ass and 9 out of 10 times it doesn't work at all...
