So you've stumbled into my sketchbook it seems. This actually took some days of convincing myself to join this site admittedly ( intimidation and all that ). But I heard this was the best online community to go to in terms of critique and advice, so I took the plunge and made this account. Anywho before I start posting my stuff I should probably include a little about moi.

I'm 18 and in between high school and college at the moment and for the most part am a self taught web developer. My main focus in life will probably always be programming with web development with a side interest in art. I always found that the two can go great together, especially when designing the actual art for your site.

Hey, nice work.. if i can Crit i'd say what you need to do is concentrate on what's actually on the model itself and not to interpret what you think you see to the picture..

In short, follow the dominant lines that stand out more than the subtle ones and work from there..

JRStagg Yeah that's always been on one of my biggest problems, differentiating between the dom and sub lines in figures.

Some gestures I did on posemaniacs. I switched up after the first page and did stickmen so I could focus less on features and more on pose. Picked up a few Loomis books yesterday we'll see how those fare later

oomgawa His books are awesome! A lot of books I've read have been really cut and dry on how they explain proportions and anatomy, I love how in-depth his are.
