The Wolverine Trailer (http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/wolverine-trailer.html)

The trailer is towards the bottom of the linked page. The helicopter shots look pretty ridiculous. I heard that the original ending involved Wolverine dodging some shoes but that had to be cut due to recent events.

Doesn't look that bad IMO. I had more of a problem with the 'walk-away-explosion' that has become a staple in action movies.

The helicopter scene is amusingly absurd, almost venturing into Shaolin Soccer territory - which is always a plus in my book.

I'm sure he did some stuff in the comics thats more over-the-top then that helicopter scene.

Looks awesome cool - yeh I agree the helicopter bit looked at little ott - how on earth did that hummer start flippin up in the air like that ... a good few tons of armored vehicle meets uber sharp/strong foot long blades attached to a few hundred pound humanoid - how that manages to result in huge explosion strong enough to lift said vehicle that high is beyond me but whatever lol! I'm really looking forward to this film but I'm also biased (sweet emote Stoph!)

The helicopter part is a little far fetch, even for an X-men.

The walk away from explosion scene is just the most cliche thing in movies.

But overall still not bad.
Hope the directing is good.

I love how it's not unreasonable that a man has a nearly invincible healing factor, an adamantium coated skeleton, and blades that pop out of his hands, in a world where people routinely change shape, giant robots attack, psychic attacks abound and there's more super powered mutants than you can shake a stick at....yet jumping/being thrown/whatever really high in the air toward a helicopter is some how suspect :P Just seems a little arbitrary thass all.

I dunno I'm a huge fan of the Barry Windsor Smith Weapon-X and I really hope they play up the delusional, psychosis aspect that's so central to that series...like after a while you're not sure what's real, and what's Wolverine's delusions. However I didn't see much to make me think it's gonna be that. Plus...I dunno I like the old school comic "high-tech" look with all the tubes and weird boxes and shit than the ultra sleek Minority Report look...but i suppose that's just taste. One of the things I liked about Weapon X was it made Wolverine loose control of his savagery and for a while become totally lost to it, and that included his look...I just think I'm going to have a hard time buying even a neck-tendoned out Hugh Jackman as a wild, blood thirsty man beast.

Where's Gambits original eyes? Why does he have normal looking eyes. >:(
Thats what made him look so cool.

First, Gambit! next to Psylock the coolest x man lol.

The intro looks suspect, he should be tortured and used not just escape instantly, it takes from the implied hatred and rage. I bet someone thought "I'll make his story better" even though its been evolving for over a decade. When X-men Origins: Gambit, coming out? lol.

They'd have to work awfully hard to make it worse than the third X-Men movie.

Lol - I'm not sure if I made this clear enough in my first post as I only just found out about the film but - I am seriously looking forward to this film!! :anime: :steph:

A little off-topic but as there are quite a few Wolverine fans here: I recently ran a 'Dynamic Energy' wolverine challenge (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=142660) - anyone interested in me running another one with him involved in the theme? I don't want to hijack this thread so please PM me or post something very brief thanks :yayca:
