These look really nice. I like the fact that you take composition under consideration for each page.

I really would like to see them bigger if possible. :)

J-I graduated with a studio art degree from University of California Irvine (didn't learn crap), i am currently at Watts Atelier School of the arts in ENcinitas, CA. and have been there for about a year and a half now. This is where most of my growth and development occurred as an artist.

your sketchbook pages look very similar to a friend of mines here in dallas, hes the son of Kerry Gammil: Jeff Gammil.
Kerry's been in comic books for years.

you've got some potential dude. really. keep it up.

LightBrownboy
December 5th, 2003, 01:37 AM
endregan-Most of them are random, just start out with a line and see wat happens, others are people walking by me or me seeing something cool on tv and saying " hey i got an idea" and drawing it down. I posted a study i did of johnny depp in the life drawing area, ima post another head study soon and for sure will be putting up more stuff in january cause ima be taking more classes there. THanks for the kind words.

complete2-Yea i always looked at kerry gammil's stuff from the old power man and iron fist comics (i think that was him) and from the x-men classic covers. Thanks man!

Well, here's another one, posting these up has really helped me, i'll prolly have more over the weekend, ima try and sneak more drawing time at work. HOpe you enjoy!

Did this one today at a mcdonalds that had a cafe in it, kinda wierd, kinda cool place. Dunno if i'll go back there tho. Anyways heres some stuff that's been around in my head. Enjoy!

lbb - nice work as usual! i like your perspective that you use in some of those images. do you use pen or pencil?

-Jesse

LightBrownboy
December 9th, 2003, 09:04 PM
J-I do all of these with pen. Noticed wen i used pencil i thought more and drew less which is good in some cases but for my sketchbook i just wanna flow and get ideas out.

1 more for ya'll.

TONS of kickin stuff here! Thanks!

One of my favorite is the windmill cliff deal. Looks very um otherworldy almost that it has its own lil story and scene.. and usually.. windmills just arent there. so it really grabs the attention. I could go on about alot but i figure id keep it to one every now and then. :)

if u havent found a host u like yet

use www.250free.com <<thats what i use now. just upload and.. yea its pretty easy and u can always make more accounts i assume. tho 250 mb is a nice size to start with if u dont have ur own space yet on the web.

Keep pumping. these are seriously shweet - thanks again - piece - chudds

Looking for free image hosting? Can't help but plug 1and1.com They've got a dealing going on now (it's ending soon, at least I think so) where you get three years of pro hosting (500meg space). Very nice stuff.

You're art's wonderful. I love you're lines, they work sooo well. :) Keep at it.
