This is a short film I did during the summer of 2008, it's mainly stop-motion with some live action. It's a futuristic post-apocalpytic adventure with machines waging war against humanity .I had 4 weeks of production, post-production and shooting. It's the first time I made a short film using After effects.

Go to The Thrid Page Of My Sketchbook (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=94463&page=3) for the making of! (includes matte paintings)

w00t a reply!
Not working, huh? Loading works fine for me... hmmm.. need to check on that

The warner logo is just there to add a bit of realsim, it's better than Fox. Now that I think about it maybe an MB would be better as a spoof logo. It was the last thing on my mind to be honest, not something I really cared about.

Thanx for checking the sketchbook!

I'd take the logo off right away. Putting company's logos on your work that they didn't have a hand in could get you in trouble. A lot of them are VERY sensitive to how their company image is portrayed. Plus the logo is a copyright and that will also put you in hot water.

As to the film, I don't know what kind of feedback you're looking for. It's gritty and dirty, which is what you're going for. but the story doesn't come across, and the action is detached. I wasn't sure that the robot and the dude were even fighting. His expression doesn't change, it just looks like he's waiting for someone. while the robot is definitely involved in something going on. Just doesn't connect that they're interacting.

Alright, I'll know that for next time.
Yeah I agree with what you said there, well yeah it's nice to see what others think. It is almost a year old now.
The final products has slighly changed from my original story boards, a mere couple of seconds scenes has expanded to minutes, and mixing live action in a post-apocalytic world was a pretty difficult task since I was no where near any enivronment like that. Also I feel it may be too dark.
Alright, cool, thanks.:^^:
