This isnt the first time I've heard of a seemingly displaced tribe of white people. I'd love to know the story behind these happenings

they need to run a spell check before they publish an article. they keep spelling civilization as "civilisation" all throughout the article.

yeah! dont get all high and mighty with you americanised spelling, all your over zealous Z's and what not, not to mention dropping the letter U from such words as favourite or colour, the british pretty much birthed us all and its only right to honour correct spelling! :P

oh, awesome find btw! :D

Yes, that's right. But there is only one 't' in British Duq!

Also, its the daily mail... so upon reading that "they need to check their spelling" I wasn't surprised. however it does sound fair interesting... I'll have a root about for a better source.

EDIT

I checked the guardian and the BBC, to no avail... however the telegraph has this to say, with a video and everything (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/peru/3545998/Lost-city-of-cloud-people-found-in-Peru.html)

Hitler went back in time with his master race army, and the result was another epic fail!

great article...thanks for posting...looks like a design doc page from a role playing game.

thats how you design worlds...some text...some histories...some images...some maps...and then just keep flushing it out.

Pointing out mistakes in other languages with reference to your own.. That's a first!

Regarding the article -- it's awesome how much we think we've discovered earth and how little we really have.

Since we're on the topic of spelling, here's another mind boggling article with odd spelling. The header is "culture and civilization (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A402977)" while the body has it spelled "civilisation."
