Maybe this title will attract people to my powerful sword guy with the oversaturated cape of blueness. Sorry about the lines, its the devil to get the notebook paper lines off the image.

Well, views are good too but their not as interesting.
That is weird how Flea can put up 4 words and get 73 comments. Of course, that was the Lounge and a comment everyone thinks they know everything about and need to share their knowledge about. The other funny thing is he keeps (i think) saying its off topic and hasn't even replied for ever on it. Some guys have all the luck.

How do you turn the saturation down? Is the only way to make a color more or less bright to repaint it? Sorry, I am new to photoshop and don't know how to use it to the fullest.

I recomend that you pull back from fantasy a bit. If you really want to generate the needed skills for illustration and subject matter such as this, you need a point of reference in the real world. Trying to emulate styles and subject matter because it's cool or popular is not where to start. Study with figures and real life objects. I'd recomend taking a class, but really, trying to recreate what you see infront of you is the best possible way to learn and improve. You should ask yourself: how does a subject exists in three-demensional space in context with it's suroundings? How do light and shadow affect it's appearance both through value and color? Keep a GOOD sketchbook with you and use it ALL THE TIME. If you really value the ideas you want to put on paper (and expect your audience to) then never use notebook paper again. Having said this, no one's expecting you to master life drawing and then return to what you want to do. That's impossible. But it's incredably unhealthy artistically to stick to the same genre or content. Especially if you expect to improve.
Someone asked stupid "why do you want to draw." It may not seem so but it's a great question but every aspiring artist needs to ask themself that. Is it because you're bored or because you seriously hope to pursue a serious venture into an artistic feild? Is because you feel that you have ideas, content and messages that absolutely have to come out, or because you want to draw something because everyone seems to think it's cool. How much do you value your own work? It's not about how much you think others should value it.
Good luck

Yeah, I'm mad at myself for using notebook paper, but i bought a ream of copier paper for three bucks and am using that. I've also been trying to draw from life, but its just so hard to switch from fantasy pictures. I joined the middle class and have been failing at drawing assignments there. The reason I draw is because I seriously want to become a proffesional artist. Also I draw in school during Math and English because I'm bored. Right know I am taking a class, but it's just basic ninth grade art.
and people are stupid swearing at people doesn't help. it just makes them angry and uncooperative. lungbug wasn't really insulting you, but if you want me too i'll go over there and burn you. yeah right.
