Ipanema's dream

This time I spent a little more time (app. 6h), I wanted something more realistic.

So I used a photoreference of Beyoncé for the head.

Edit : After reflexion that head was horrible on that body, so I came back to my first version, with a robotic head... I didn't find better yet...

Like your regular stuff better than this. The photorealistic face doesn't work so well with that ultra thin body (doing a skinny girl for once to :)). Those solid black part (neck, skirt and legs) makes it look kind of flat to. Looks like this is two painting merged into one...

I really like this piece, actually. Though I can see where al-x is coming from, I actually think the flatness of the figure contrasts nicely with the well-rendered face.

I think it also shows you have a good range of subject matter.
