Andrew Jones takes us on an all night educational journey through the creation of the cover art for the Dragon Force album, Ultra Beat Down. Once again Andrew innovates the use of digital tools inside a traditional foundation, freely combining Photoshop, Painter, and ZBrush to create stunningly powerful and sexy rock art. Original score by DJunya.

wtf evva, it's Android, who cares who he's illustrating for. I have an itchiness in my skin waiting for new stuff from him. I will be downloading this cutting it into lines and ingesting it immediately!!!
OMG!!! It's only fifteen dollars!!! Thank you MB Thank you AJ
Having actually watched it at this point it's with out a doubt an awesome download. There's a lot of information to be gleaned from it on so many levels. It's not a this is how I a b c type tutorial, which is why consistently Android remains one of my favorite artists to learn from. There's so much to take from this and apply to really any type of situation your interested in. It's a real plus that that Roadrunner and Dragonforce let you share the video with us aswell.
On a production level, there was a lot of complaining about the sound levels etc back in the day with these. It deserves mentioning that for some time now the production has been flawless with all the downloads.
Thanks again guys, I was pretty down about the idea that we might be losing such an awesome resource because of torrenting and was really pumped to see that all hope was not lost.

If not for Opeth and Porcupine Tree, I would hate Roadrunner...

Mr. Jones, I am so impressed with your art.
I feel like you have come full circle with the abstraction technique, and I really respect the way you let your art take you places, instead of "trying" to achieve a particular outcome.
I really think you embody what it means to be original and it is a huge inspiration to me, please keep sharing your self with us.

The audio mixing quality, and the way you guys filmed the voice overs etc... are a step above previous downloads, keep it up!
Two things I did notice is that it says actual time 1 hour and Android said it was 8-9 hours. No big deal, just thought I point it out in case you wanted to fix it. Also, the resolution seems really small, like 600px or so? This just seems too small, even watching on my laptop it is hard to see details.

I finished watching it yesterday and as always it's a great experience to see the master Andrew Jones creating a masterwork.
I found it very inspirational.
The only thing that disappointed me is the resolution of the video who's very very low, as K-Bot already noticed.... This makes difficult to see details and I hope in the future no other video will be released in this small resolution.
Also the image of the cover carried with the video is very small and a big one image or .psd files would have been much appreciated.
Apart from that it remain a valuable download!

It's always a pleasure / interesting / inspiring to watch Andrew vids and this time the audio is good! But like others already noticed, why the size is so small compared to others Massives releases? And it's lacking some high def img of the process like in previous ones.
Can we hope to see a Fine art vol. 2 soon? :yum:

We're trying to get a higher-res version out, which will be freely available to anyone who's already purchased it, of course. I haven't personally seen the resolution of the source footage so I can't make any guarantees, but I think it should be possible. Bear with us... it's the holidays. :)

Ok guys.. I went through some back and forth with editor and it was only technically possible to up-res the video to 720x480. Everyone who buys it from here on out will automatically download the new version, and if you've already bought it and want the new version just go ahead and email me from the same address you placed the order with and I'll get you the new file ASAP.

Try hitting me up via PM instead of email. A lot of schools and a few other institutions have spam blockers that filter out our emails. I'm guessing that's why you haven't heard back.
