What do concept artists much like your selves use for programs? Like i was looking through this guildwars concept art book i got with the collectors edition and I was wondering what tools they would use to make the scenery paintings, or the character sketches? Is it all PS (photo shop extended)or is there a painting program?

Photoshop IS a "painting program." As is Painter, Open Canvas, GIMP, Illustrator, etcetc. Then of course there are traditional media. It doesn't really matter what you use as long as you do it well.

We have a forum dedicated to both Photoshop and Painter. Those are two of the big ones. Browse those forums, you'll see both are very flexible.
