Creative, Talented Illistrator /Graphics Artist for FANTASY SCI-FI Book Needed!!!!!!

I am looking for a Graphic Artist to illistrate 6 Pages for my book.
It is within the Genre of Lord of the Rings. It is being developed into book as well as a script.

This is an excellent opportunity for an illistrator with a Vivid imagination!

I would prefer students that aspire to be illistrators or Graphic artist.
Experience professionals are welcome. Just remember I don't have a Steven Spielberg budget!

Please forward examples of your work specifically with the Fantasy GENRE in mind.

Maybe you'll have more success if you post this in the right forum...

Also, make sure you spell Illustrator correctly. If someone is searching job listings by keyword, your listing won't come up and that's baaaaad.

Ok, not a "Steven Spielberg budget" but I assume you have some kind of budget in mind. Care to share that with us?

If you have high aspirations of a fantasy/sci-fi epic ala Lord of the Rings, then I hope you realize that your concept art should be better than student quality. Don't skimp on what should be one of the most important parts of any project like this. Also, hire a graphic artist for graphic arts and an illustrator to illustrate. Don't try to get one person to do both because they will likely be much better at one of those, and you are better off getting the best person you can afford for each thing. That's like hiring a carpenter/plumber. You might find one handy man capable of both, but you'd probably get better results hiring two professionals each specializing in one.

Hey now, we student (well, not me) can do a good job as well and we appreciate it if we get a chance.

Sorry. Yeah that's very true, and there are certainly talented and deserving students. I didn't mean to take anything away from students, because I do recognize there are really great students out there.

However, when someone states they are SEEKING students, alarm bells go off for me. It then sounds like "I want work done for cheap or free." It's rarely that someone is looking for students because they actually want to give someone their big break. Students do need to get experience and get their foot in the door, but they do not need to be taken advantage of (not that I'm claiming that was the intention of this post, just as a general rule).

I think every employer should shoot for professionals (meaning professional quality and work ethic- with professional pay). If a student can impress and work on that level, then great you've graduated beyond being a student.
