Hey Everyone,
I found this artist a couple of days ago. Her name is Xoey Hawk and she is from Connecticut. Her stuff is pretty amazing. I figured I would invite others to check her out :)

She is mostly into sculpting, drawing, and painting. But, no matter what she does it always seem to come out amazing!
Hope you all enjoy :)

I'm guessing you are a friend of hers trying to drum up some interest for her, probably hitting any art forum you can find. I'm guessing that because if you spent even 2-3 minutes on this forum you'd find that her work isn't very likely to find a huge audience here. This site tends to attract people with an interest in concept art first (movies, video games, etc), and then probably representational illustration second. Her work isn't close to either of those.
However, if I was to offer an unbiased opinion I would say that her portfolio is wildly inconsistent. Drawings, paintings, photography, collage, and sculpture all thrown together? Purely abstract next to some-what representational? The only common theme is some form of angst, and even that is inconsistent and vague. I hate to say it because it will sound condescending, but it comes off as very "art school" (where you take a bunch of stuff from various classes and throw it together, and write a BS statement hoping to tie it together and justify it).
My advice would be stick to a medium and generate a coherent look. Figure out what you are saying, and then really express it.

Hello J Wilson :) Yea, looking at it that way I guess you're right. It is pretty unorganized. But, at the same time, a lot of my own "art" is really random as well. Maybe just because it's more of a fun thing to do than anything else, though. But now I will have to think about collections, as you were saying, instead of just pieces.
Either way, very good points. I probably would not have come to that conclusion on my own. Thank you :)

No coherency in terms of medium or theme - she needs a website to at least separate mediums.
The lack of focus is hindering development. She's got a good eye, but being all over the place prevents any one 'wow' aspect - making everything look like 'talented student' rather than 'pro artist'.
Doesn't mean she can't do a number of different things, but needs one 'show off' medium that's absolutely amazing at a time.

I second that. I personally like her sculpture best. Her 2D-works lacks some serious fundamentals, which is okay if it's a hobby, though-
