I love the painterliness. Very nice.
Something about these looks a bit like they were done from photos rather than life. That's fine that you do that, but I'm not sure its fine that it is evident they are from photos. Try to take the paintings beyond their source.
I'm not sure about the draughtsmanship on the children's faces in the first picture and the last. Good form has to be projected out from ambient-lit photos. That means you have to emphasize planar changes that aren't evident from the photo. And that means, maybe, a little more study of form and anatomy.
My favorite is the child playing with the cat. Very Zorn in its brushwork, which is the highest compliment available, as far as I'm concerned. But the child's outstretched arm, graphically, seems attached to the child's face in a strange way. If you had composed this picture before taking the photo, I doubt you would have done that. The imagination makes better, truer, more informative silhouettes than the camera.
Major talent on display here. But I think a little more imagination and personality will bring life to your compositions to match the painterliness.
Best of luck to you and welcome

I love em. I am really into oilpainting myself, but I can't seem to get my butt over to the easel. I guess that can be my new years resolution.
I love the brushwork and the colors. I must admit though, that paintings of children doesn't really interrest me, but I think your work is great.
I agree with Kev Ferrara's crits.

Thanks for your comments guys. Kids are made from photos, they dont really stay still more than a few seconds :) But other than that i always paint from life. Its so much more fun to get out there!
Cotta, go ahead give it a spin. I think its nice to do both digital and traditional stuff.
Cheers

I have a liking for the kid with the cat work, the cat puts out a really good stretch that catches my eye.
Do you happen to have works other than composed from observing life around you?
I took a brief tour at your gallery website, and you should have attached the 'Delicious Apple' here as well ;)

lovely stuff - charming brushwork and a sensitive use of colour.
As mentioned there's an issue with the childrens faces, though it has to be looked for. Also I think the cold colours on the childs arms playing with the cat stand out in an unpleasant way, though, again, this has to be looked for when trying to critique good work ;) I certainly can't do it yet

Yeah I do doodle a lot of sketches, but mostly its work related animation design stuff. I would not mostly even be allowed to displaying it in public.
Maybe because of that animation related character stuff, I like to do more representational works when it comes to fine art.

Hey no worries. These should of course be seen in a real world. Camera takes a lot of inbetween colors away and distort the colors like hell.
Then there is the glare that messes up the rest.
Oh, And its really easy to blame the camera :D
