Just wondering if anyone had created a printed portfolio and how they went about it. Its part of my university course and I want it to feel very high quality, almost like a small book, with all my work inside. I wanted to print it and put it all together myself so Id have most control problems iv found are:

-Glossy paper seems to be glossy on only one side, not good for a book thats meant to have work on both sides, I could just result to having work on just the one side.

-Iv asked at printing places on campus but they dont have the facilities and only print on ordinary printing paper.

-iv considered using a company like snapfish.com that print photos but also do photobooks.

I guess my choice at the moment is to either print on glossy paper one-sided or double sized plain paper. Just looking for advice from someone who might have more experience. Thanks

I don't know what's local to you but any decent print shop would have a variety of papers, print methods and binding... Otherwise you're looking at one-sided pages and should perhaps pick up a book for (or do online research into) creative book binding methods.

You can buy double sided glossy (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/354329-REG/Canon_9981A006_Photo_Paper_Plus_Double.html) it is out there. The better question is how much do you intend to print. If the ink alone is going to cost you $100+ you might as well go through someone.
