I am trying to inject red dye through specific points of a cast made with crystal clear 200 (a clear casting resin). My aim is to suspend the dye in the mold so it resembles ribbons or wisps of fluid, similar to blood drops in water. I've made the mold and constructed the dye injection points, so thats taken care of. The real issue is that I have only so much resin to experiment with. I can't really afford to screw up.
Got any tips or techniques that would help? Timing for the administration of the dye? Specific paints? dyes? inks??? Is dye viscosity of importance? Anything I'm completely neglecting?

Thanks for your time.
