accidents_happen & soul8o8- I made the top one mostly all in opencanvas. The colors were put on one layer, and then a layer is multiplied on top completely black. Then I start to erase this layer to find the highlights and points of interest in the picture.

the bottom was a brush experiment in photoshop

i like the second one's feel of watercolor in the upper body and head.. The first one i like the mouth cheeks and nose.. those long lines of black and yellow are somewhat distracting though.. so are the lines on the leg and stomach, are they supposed to be highlights? good sketchy feel to em..
