Hi everyone,
I posted a few things in the New Media Coloring Book thread, but this is my first NEW THREAD. I will be posting stuff in here every so often.
Here's one to start, hope you like it.

I did this in about 20-25 mins. No references, so if the anatomy is a little cartoony, that's why.
Comments and criticisms appreciated. Also, nevermind that "be kind" stuff, sock it to me.
thanks

accidents_happen: thanks for the reply. When I did this, it was more to experiment with the lighting and brushes, using as few brush strokes as possible. But now that you mention it, it does look really purple. So here is an alternate version, with additional lighting.

Here is a Homer.
Sorry about the purple background again. I did this one before the purple head actually. I must be in a purple mood lately...

soul: thanks for the reply. that is exactly what I do. my problem is that once that color is on there, I usually don't like the results when I go back and try to change the background. I guess it will get easier the more I experiment with color.
halis: thanks, man. Here is another one. This is pencil with ink. I am gonna try to color them soon...

hey guys: thanks for the feedback. the texture on homer was done with a photoshop brush. It's in the default brushes, one of the ones that looks like an eraser pat on a chalkboard. I played with the brush properties though (spacing, opacity, etc.).
I was going for a kind of chalk pastel look.

Here is a little redo of the gorilla bear. I made him a little more human this time. He now uses tools and wears a loin cloth and boots. Colored version will probably be up tomorrow, if I don't hate it.
