Artists who are graduates of liberal arts colleges in the NY area

I am a graduate student at Fordham University working towards my MA in Sociology. I am a long time reader at the conceptart forums but a first time poster. I would appreciate all the help and advise you all have.

As part of the research for my master's thesis, I have created a brief online questionnaire to assess the occupational outcomes for artists who are graduates of liberal arts colleges, universities, and traditional arts schools in the New York metropolitan area.



This study will limit itself to students who majored in the visual arts. The time period of the study will be confined to students graduating/leaving school between 1997 and 2007.

Hey everyone, I have also decided to do an in person interview. If you are interested and in the area please let me know. The following is the information, it basically is like the survey but will get more in depth, there will be a compensation of 10 dollars cash.

Purpose of the research study:

You are invited to participate in a research study that examines the occupational expectations and outcomes of art school students.

Eligibility:

You are eligible to participate in this study if you have concentrated in the arts at the college level and have since graduated or left school to enter the workforce. You must have attended a school in the New York metropolitan area (NY, NJ, or CT) and graduated or left school between 1997 and 2007.

What you will be asked to do in this study:

You will be asked to participate in an interview, which should take no more than 45 minutes to complete. This interview will contain questions about your educational institution and about your employment since leaving school.

Compensation:

Interview participants will be receive a $10 cash payment for their participation in this study.

Interview Details:

Approximately 10-20 interviews will be scheduled in the NY and NJ area in December 2008 and January 2009. To schedule an interview, please reply with your name and contact information.
