I'm absolutely in love with the first one! The title adds a lot..

Only thing about the demon that threw me off was the arm. That's one massive creature; big thick neck, very wide horns... and one puny little arm. It's almost comical... The face and the lighting/colours are great though :) Love to see more ^^

i like both post, for the first one i like the fact you tilt the horizon so it feels more dramatically incline , makes you thirst for more.

i like the second one as well , lighting and the atmosphere , though playing around with the composition might push it even further

I like how you use the color to show how hot this place is.

Last of your piece is almoust getting to the point. Try to addsomecontrast color for opposite to the green in the background.

thank you for the replys!im very glad you liked them and sorry for not answering till now!

its been abit claustrophobic around me lately, stupid arhitecture :)))
i began playing around with acrylics in the holidays and just sketching whatever crossed my mind.im ssorry i dont have a larger update but after the next 4 weeks of so many sleepless nights ........i promise ill start posting regulary!

till then heres a wip of my cgtalk entry for steampunk challange!
its about the boatman which helped the dead travel across the stix to the underworld. my vision is abit different ,i industrialized the whole process ,making the zepelins cross the stix, and the boatman just overseeing.
i need to improve the big structure which represents the underworld..entrance and those terraces on which the stix circles it 9 times^^ according to the myth.

anyway this is it so any crits suggestions opinions anything is welcomed!

Keep up the dynamic compositions and strong lighting! For the digital illustrations do you pull together reference and do sketchbook studies before attempting the piece digitally? Or do you just build it up from scratch in one sitting?

So first 5 are studies,30 minutes maximum for each..i sucked at them:(
the last 2 green images..are my first 2 outdoor paintings i ever did ...did them on my laptop while chilling out on the countryside 15 minutes...one big minus to laptop painting outside in the middle of the day...the reflections in the screen...cant see crap
next a gas mask and a gun...steampunkish for a movie, both in 35 minutes, and that pretty much of comission work i can show atm, oh and next a small painting i did for some1 of some sites in london night life..

Hope to show more soon...i did update my finally finished with some if u wanna check out!

hei guys long time no see.
thanks for the nice words

Im gonna update with some projects that i did at the university.
this is first project, second year
first up is a pavilion, in a parc, which comemorates that place and its history..a whole neighborhood got demolished by the comunist regim in the 1980s in order to make this park from where u can see the Peoples house, the 2nd building in the world as size.my concept was to create something that shifts it shape..a baloon basicaly but is coordinated by the past, through those silhouttes out of red metal beams which are the old demolished houses.
concept
facades
perspective
ground plan
cross section

jonone
March 4th, 2010, 03:40 PM
2 year 2 project

coupled houses...the concept was to put 1s upper floor on top of the others ground floor...and vice versa

2nd year 3d project

this was a single family house, and becos the site was a residential full of old houses, with so much decoration and detail and another part interbelic with loads of art nouveau and art deco i wanted to reinterpret this ad trasnform the house with layers, panels of detail colected from around the site.from entrance doors, fences etc

1 floor plan

3d year 1 project

its a library which aims to reintegrate a whole neighberhood back into the city.

jonone
March 4th, 2010, 04:02 PM
3year 2 project

a hotel on a hill with a gorgeus view to the mountains
concept was to create something that does stand as a bulky silhoutte on the hillside and that is as much as possible self suficient.

ground plane and -1
2,3 floors
facades
concept and perspective

March 4th, 2010, 04:16 PM
this is a project initiated by me and a friend to attract the eye on the cables issue ahnging around in cityes...untill theyr put underground we wanted to show they can be used into an urban landscape.
those are the posters and the perspective of the exposition space,small...lol

and the last one is from a 2nd year project in which i tramsformed the street alongside our old school university ;it redirected automotive traffic and closed it only for pietonal use and supply purposes...it was supposed to be an oasis in the urban jungle and a place to chill out for the students and passing pedestrians

jonone
March 4th, 2010, 04:40 PM
these are a few sculptures i did ...i helped out a friend who is also a teacher at the university with some artistic inclinations, and for his PHD he needed some sculptural objects ,so we designed them in pencil as roughs and then i translated them into urban surroundings;it was fun

last 2 are from Bucharest:D

Reall nice stuff Jon!!
I will make one crit, you may want to take down the opacity of the background images in your architectural presentation work. At the moment I'm finding them very distracting and leading the eye away from the design itself, even though they are often quite fitting.

Great work nonetheless and thanks for sharing!!

wow that cow is awesome, so simple and yet so effective! Also the guns and helmet designs in particular are interesting and original. Keep up the good work! Ah yeah I forgot about that spaceship in that last post, thats pretty slick work too. nice :)
