The Situation:
I have a fully developed erotic comic book project with an emphasis on LI called "Stuffed Animals" (copyrighted 2007) in progress. Project spans 4 issues of 24 pages. Could be easily extended to 12 issues. Comic is to be distributed online only, unless a reputable publisher makes an offer. Subscription to website will be required to view each page as they are released to members in high res every other day. Other related artwork and materials will be available to members. membership fees will be low in order to generate volume.
Web hosting is arranged, coding already lined up with reputable company with billing mechanism in place. Script of issue one complete, scripts for issues 2-4 are in progress and will be complete within 3 months. Financing is in place.
Problem:
Three separate artists have signed up to do this project and have failed miserably. All three have provided above average art but have failed to be reliable and to produce on a predictable schedule. You have seen some of their work here on BBW-Chan and on other sites.
The Job:
So, an opportunity exists here for an artist with talent to make a name for themselves and potentially a lot of money. Anyone interested who thinks they can be a PROFESSIONAL and produce quality art on schedule, under good creative direction should apply.
Artist will be paid by the page and also receive a generous cut of the website profits. Only 4 of 24 pages will be required to be in color. Color pages are paid at double the fee for B/W pages. No inking is required. Artist should show a genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter and can contribute to the overall creative process and storyline if they have the ability/desire.
This is a real project with real funding, a dedicated writer, an experienced creative director, a female erotic consultant, and qualified technical staff.

Are you wanting people to contact you here or send you an email? I sent you an email through this site but not sure if that's where you want to be contacted at concerning this project.
Thanks!

maybe you did pushed them too much , people and artist even more do not like to be pushed to produce specifict amount of work and especially -art , we are not beaking cookies here -we're creating stunning vision which is CRUCIAL for the final success of your product ,especially if it is an erotic series ,where good story lines doesnt (no ofence to writer) have to be perfect- what will really response with good selling report of those books -are nice looking cheeks.
my suggestions to all other followers of yours would be to get FIRST best artist who create sexy devils for your book even if that would require to wait for them few months- THEN start that "money produceing " machine running .
Makeing art is something very hard to be scheduled , you should plan it more carefully with wider margins
themselves and potentially a lot of money.
warrning: each publisher or developer has their individual own definition of such thing as "lot of money". in most of cases that definition is completly different than artist's :) for example in europe normal money fo r comic book page is 300 euro ,lot of money is 500 euro /page -in US both prices sound like a "joke" ,usuall price per page is 50-75$
Anyone interested who thinks they can be a PROFESSIONAL and produce quality art on schedule, under good creative direction should apply.
im afraid is not a question to be a professional now but to find someone who works fast ,fast enough so you can keep that machine makeing money , running

i never doubted any of those ,that;s why I can offer you my help -I can work fast but that will cost you . BTW I wonder who is that consultant :D

As far as I have understood, all professionals have to learn to deal with dead lines. Or does that only apply for illustrators?

Dear Fellow Artists,
We ought to know art is a market. If they pay 300-500 Eu/page somewhere--all well and good. But if "good money" by the "patron" is $50. --that is up to you. Who is "not" an erotic artist? There are a dozen replies on this site to someone who has no business going at all and offers "nothing."
I have yet to see a serious offer on this site! I have yet to see a serious "audition!" That is why the "art world" is so convoluted. For probably the "least capitalistic group--artists", making anything is the most capitalistic. As usual, work for Government--PBS--States--or Bill Gates Foundation. Then you can have a real success. Maybe, with a Democrat, they will re-start the painting of murals--WPA in Post Offices!!!

Hmm, if it's three separate, truly skilled artists that says to me either your pay is not that great, or your expectation of turnaround is too high for the time alloted. All in theory, anyway.

They are called "deadlines" and any artist who is a professional works under them.

Incorrect. You might find that from small publishers or individuals (and they won't get pros for that amount), but not established companies. It's also good to note that typical US vs Euro comics have different amounts of work needed, and different markets.

Do you know who those artists are? Students, non-pros, etc. They'll learn.
I have yet to see a serious offer on this site! I have yet to see a serious "audition!"
With 3 posts to your name I'm sorta not surprised...

@stuffedanimalscomic
I sent you a PM that you still never read about this offer. I am interested in it, because I like erotic comics. Though, if you are interested in my work, I will evalutate the offer on the base of seriuos pay offer and such things.
@Mirana, SwallowPoint and Morano
I already seen a similar thread on this forum 2 years ago. A thread I was involved in. My opinion is that some offers are simply ridicolous. A per page pay under 50$ is simply unacceptable. Though, that time I encountered some obstacles...
Before to judge if this offer is serious or not I would like to read some more precise info from stuffedanimalscomic (probably better if written privatelly).
About differences from US and European typical amount of work for comics I can say that while US comics are usally made in an industrial way (what I mean is writer, penciller, inker, colorist, lettering author, ...) European comics are still made in a more artistic way, usually by a writer and a single person who makes pencils, ink and colors. Some times there is a separate artist for colors. This reflects clearly in the way US artists are used to present specific rates tables (a price for sketch, one for refined pencil, ...), while often European artists make less differences in their tables (colored and non colored, for example).

May I ask for an example of some sort to see what style is being sought after here? Also is there a link pertaining to said examples of the comic in question?

I did and was sent a script so I could tryout for the job. Once I read the script I realized that the story was a little too hardcore for my taste. In the original post it says they are looking for a reliable EROTIC artist but they are really looking for a reliable PORNO artist. I don't have a problem with that personally but it's not the kind of work I want to do. I'm not making any judgements, it just wasn't for me.
