Hey man, great work, and welcome to ConceptArt! :chug:

Here's some critique... dont read it if you dont want it...

Your proportions are pretty good, but you could work on eye placement and facial composition. His cheeks are rather large, and protrude too far from his face. Also, give your pirate some LIPS!

One other crit... I'm noticing an inconsistency in shading / light source. You kept the hat dark with a single highlight, and you dont show any overshadow (with that single highlight and judging by the rest of the piece, I think you were aiming for an overhead light source). You should add an overshadow from the brim of the hat. It would add to the realism of the picture.

And I have one compliment for you... you draw hands really well! I'm jealous! ;)

:chug: thx for the kind words! yeah, i do need to work on light sources. i was tryin to stylize a little on the facial features, but it didn't quite work as well as i might have wanted. tnx again!!!:beer:

The hands are amazing, and the porportions are good. He's got my favorite kind of hat (for a hero) on, and i've got a character with a hat like that but otherwise different. Basically the other guy said it all.
