We're looking for someone, preferably a group or a studio, to work on a 3 minute animated music video. The animation we're looking for would be similar to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKFIedvbAik

Deadline is 2 months.
Budget is $10,000.

The video will be used for a Japanese band and will be available for display on their website. It may also be used to promote their new cd release as part of a Japanese televised commercial.
The concept for the video will involve a large tarantula with a human female torso.
No voice work will be required.

Please send samples of previous work, your bid on the completed video, and whether or not storyboards are included in your bid price (if not included in bid price, please give us a rate for storyboards separately) to:
manekochan@netscape.net
Please include in the title of your email: Music Video Animation
Any questions, please ask them here and I will try to answer them as quickly as possible.
We are looking for someone who can complete the video from start to finish. We are not hiring for individual positions.
Thanks.

Hi manekochan,

do you have any examples of the bands music, or a brief description of their style or genre?

As for the concept, do you have more ideas than the tarantula character already worked out (ex. story/plot, setting), or is this open for the artists to play with?

The band has a sort of dark, punk style. It has been described as an "evil Evanescence".
The story itself is loosely worked out, though we are hoping to flesh it out more. The original intention was to give the artist free reign over the story, but due to the time constraints it will be easiest for the chosen artist/studio if we have the story completely worked out by the time we make our decision. The artist can, of course, make recommendations, etc, but everything must be approved by the band and will slow the progress.

I've wanted to work for a Jrock band for a while actually, but I'm afraid that I'm not really qualified for such a position on my own. Best of luck, I hope it turns out amazing~

The above project has been put on hold indefinitely. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
