Spider and Samurai

k well, here is my first thread at CA ^_^;; I'm a college kid who is trying to get good enough to get some work in an art field of some sort (concept, painting, etc...) I've gotta say that I've made a ton of improvement in the past few weeks. And hopefully I'm getting in the right direction... o_o

here are my latest "finished" pics done thursday/friday in the bit of time I had between exams (the spider was done for the DSG thread ^_^).

looks solid to me!, I like your colors on the last one! it would be cool if you had some more of a backgrnd or even just some texture for one :chug:

This is great stuf. I love both of them. Only thing i might suggest is add some contrast to the samurai he looks great.. just in a personal oppinion i think he would look bettter with some more contrast.

as far as the samurai contrast goes, I fully agree. I just don't have the time to go back and re-paint it o_o hehe
I'm trying to paint as many different things as possible to advance my "skillz" o_O lol so I'm not going to dwell to much on one painting.

I figure I might as well make this a progressive "completed" painting image dump. Good way to show my progress (I expect to improve lol) as I go. ^_^ besides with the amount that I draw, I'd feel kinda guilty super spaming the boards with stuff...
