Hi all!

I am new here and am impressed! There are some seriously talented artists here! Anyway I am hoping to get some advice on my drawing application. Its a free tool I created in flash. If you get a chance can you check it out and let me know what would make it better? I really want to make it something great for the web world.

here it is: www.drawzit.com (http://www.drawzit.com)

Thanks!

Ryan

Hey there, lookin' good so far, it's functional. I'd recommend allowing opacity changes in the line strokes. The colours you have so far are all web-based, and opacities can go a long way with extra colour options.

opacity would be a good option. So would varying edge hardness, or at least an "airbrush" tool.

it's pretty basic, no undo is a good thing :)

Thanks Guys! I was wondering, about no undo being a good thing. Is this from an art perspective were you can't take back your strokes? OR Does this help with the program somehow? Interested cuz undo functionality is one of the top items on my huge todo list.

Thanks Again!

undo redo can be a real crutch for digital artists, in terms of functionality for a bigger audience, you probably need it in there

Thanks Jens. I am going for a wider audience. Thanks for the advice. Anything else anyone sees that could improve my app?

when i dragged my pen off the edge of the canvas it wouldn't sense that i lifted it, so when i put it back on the canvas it would continue the line, making a mess. you can see it towards the bottom of this image:

Very interesting application. I don't mind no undo at all. I'm not even sure about opacity but responding to size with pressure maybe? Even so, did this doodle.
